Website Design

Website design is the process of:

  • theorizing,

  • planning, and

  • building a collection of electronic files

These files will determine the layout, colors, font (text) styles, structure, graphics, images, and use of interactive features on a company, organization or individual website, which will deliver multiple information pages to the website’s visitors.

Website design also involves the creation and updating of information on the website.

We design 21st-century mobile-responsive websites and manage your website's content creation for any type of business or organization.

The Miles-Beamon Jewelry Dilemma
A long-time customer of WFC was faced with a dilemma when the owner realized her e-commerce website had become obsolete. The owner had to develop a new e-commerce website with Shopify--one of the most recognized e-commerce web-based platforms for selling products online. With the design of a new website, the owner was now in possession of an extra domain name, which was well established on the Internet.

Solution

Web Feet Communications suggested building a brand new website with the old domain name that features the history and interesting facts about fine jewelry,  which the company has been selling for decades. Now, the company has increased its Internet presence and is providing valuable information to Internet users who are looking for interesting nuggets of information or little-known facts about fine jewelry. We're glad we could help solve the problem!

While designing a website for your business or organization, special attention must be given to optimized, accurate, timely, objective, and authoritative yet relatable content to reach your target audience and keep them coming back to your website.

  • Fact: Many small businesses or nonprofit organizations don't have the manpower to develop a website or manage its content on a regular basis.

  • Fact: Website content creation is essential to the survival of your business and your bottom-line or the advancement of your mission.

Content Management

Content management (CM) is a set of processes and technologies that support the collection, managing, and publishing of information in any form or medium. When stored and accessed via computers, this information may be more specifically referred to as digital content, or simply as content.

What is website content? Website content is information produced through the editorial process and ultimately intended for human consumption via publication.

  • Content is created differently

  • Content is used differently

  • Content is subjective and open for evaluation and interpretation

  • Content can change with the passage of time and the evolution of circumstance

  • Content is an investment in the future, not a record of the past.

Social Media Marketing

Do you need to tweet or not? Should you establish a profile on Facebook? What are Instagram and Pinterest, and do I need to use it for my business or nonprofit organization? These questions are often times very perplexing for a neophyte who has limited exposure to the world of social media marketing.

Social media marketing (SMM) is the process of gaining traffic or attention via the numerous social media sites available today. This process garners brand awareness or promotes particular products. Social media is a catch-all term for sites that may provide radically different social actions. The ultimate goal for any business, nonprofit or individual who owns a mobile-responsive website design is to ensure the SMM traffic leads back the website.

Marcom Strategic Planning

A marketing communications plan is a written plan to communicate your marketing messages to your target customer audience for a specified length of time. It is one component of your overall marketing plan, which also includes research, strategy, competitive analysis, etc.

The Marketing Communications Mix is the specific mix of:

  • advertising,

  • personal selling,

  • sales promotion,

  • public relations, and direct marketing

A company uses a mix of the above to pursue its advertising and marketing objectives. These plans must be analyzed and restructured as needed to achieve the marketing goal for the company or organization.

Here are eight ways to communicate your strategy more effectively

1. Keep the message simple, but deep in meaning.

2. Build behavior based on market and customer insights.

3. Use the discipline of a framework.

4. Put on your “real person” hat.

5. Tell a story.

6. Use 21st-century media and be unexpected.

7. Make the necessary investment.

We can develop an ongoing marketing and communications strategic plan, which encompasses a mixture of advertising, selling, sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing for your company or organization. A strategic Marcom plan will not be successful without a stellar website design and content management plan.

Are you ready to commit to the process? We're just a phone call away!

  • Fact: A strategic marketing communications plan will help you reach your business goals or advance your mission by leveraging industry-standard tactics such as sales promotion and advertising.

Event Planning

Event planning is the process of managing a project such as a meeting, convention, tradeshow, party, or conference. It includes:

  • budgeting and establishing timelines

  • selecting and reserving the event sites

  • acquiring permits and planning food

  • coordinating transportation

  • developing a theme and arranging for activities

  • selecting speakers and keynotes

  • arranging for equipment and facilities

  • managing risk and developing contingency plans.

The US Dept. of Labor describes event planning as the coordination of every detail of meetings and conventions, from the speakers and meeting location to arranging for printed materials and audio-visual equipment.

Event planning begins with:

  • Determining the objective that the sponsoring organization wants to achieve,

  • Choosing speakers, entertainment, and content, and

  • Arranging the program to present the organization's information in the most effective way

Meeting planners are responsible for selecting meeting sites, prospective attendees and how to get them to the meeting.

Answer

Yes, event planning can be considered storytelling, and storytelling is essential for a successful event. You're getting married--there's a story; you're celebrating a milestone birthday--there's a story; you're acknowledging the retirement of an employee--there's a story.

In a nutshell, hiring a competent event planner who is well-versed in all of these areas is the key to a successful event. Web Feet Communications can help. We'll assist or manage an event or meeting you have scheduled during the year by developing a plan for your small-to-medium scale event.
